Prix de Lausanne is a dance competition reserved for young student dancers aiming to pursue a professional career. It is open to candidates of all nationalities between the ages of 15 and 18. It has been held each year for a week at the end of January since 1973.
The purpose of the Prix de Lausanne is to facilitate the professional debut of its young prize-winners by granting them scholarships which enable them to improve their skills for a year in one of the schools which are partners of the Prix, or in one of the professional dance companies also partnering the Prix. Welcome to our new website! The new site has many things including a shop, blog, and gallery.
Teachers and staff will be making blog posts with tips, insights and fun stuff. The shop will have dance supplies including clothing and shoes as well as other dance related products ( notecards, art prints, accesories, etc.).
Matthew Peak, the father of two of our beginning students ( Autumn and Violet Peak), has helped us create the new site as well as contributing video, photography and art.
